Pre-Registration Web App
Empowering Games & Projects with Early Community Engagement
Overview
Problem
New games and projects struggle to capture early interest without a centralized sign-up and engagement platform
Building a custom pre-registration system is costly, requiring time, development resources, and ongoing maintenance
Solution
A white-labeled pre-registration platform that helps new games and projects capture early interest seamlessly
Centralized sign-ups and engagement tools, including email collection, Discord connections, and social media growth
Target Users
Game Studios: Developers seeking to build a fanbase before launch
New Projects/Platforms: New projects looking to grow their community early on
Summary
I designed a white-labeled pre-registration web app for new games and projects, providing a seamless, cost-effective solution to capture early interest and build communities before launch. The platform centralizes email collection, Discord connections, and social media growth, while offering a built-in innovative social amplification feature like retweeting Twitter posts. By eliminating the need for custom development, this solution allows studios and project teams to engage their audiences efficiently, maintain brand consistency, and drive early excitement with minimal overhead costs.
Goal
Create a web app experience that meets the product functional requirements, scoped out by the client and our product team:
Email Registration & Login: Users must sign up and login using their email address
Twitter Integration: Users must connect their Twitter account, follow the client's Twitter profile, and retweet a specific post
Discord Connection: Users must connect to the client's Discord server
Typeform Submission: Users must fill out an embedded Typeform survey to complete their registration
My Design Thinking
I needed to create a system that would work across all our potential clients. I thought of using a stepper design, as this would allow me to isolate each action required from the user while showing their progress.
Part of the challenge required me to create assets that would be componentized and easily reused for each client. Below, I show the base model for what the stepper component looks like.

Final Results
Infinite Victory - Bitfry
Infinite Victory was the very first client I designed for. It utilizes the stepper component that I designed as a prototype, but just restyled to their brand.

Storygrounds
Utilizing the same idea, we were able to seamlessly restyle the assets and repurpose them for other brands like Storygrounds

Smolverse
With Smolverse, we made a small change to the stepper component based on client request, and made this another option for future clients
